This gives an Android based smartphone the ability to download files via the Bluetooth interface.
This app on your smartphone gives you the ability to browse, explore and manage files of any Bluetooth ready device, using File Transfer Profile (FTP) and Object Push Profile (OPP). You`ll be able to receive files and send contacts. Bluetooth transfers may often require root access permissions. Root access will allow you to receive from any device, meaning your friend can connect to you and send you content, given you have root access. It will also need specific ROM such as Cyanogen, Dwang, SuperE, Openȣlair, ChromeDroid and some others. Without the root permission the access will get limited to only devices that are exactly similar to yours. Other types of devices can’t connect to you. With that in mind, this client can help you communicate through the Bluetooth easily and access and download stuff from your friend’s phone.
Useful features include the ability of your phone to be used as a "File Transfer Profile" (OBEX FTP) and/or "Object Push Profile" (OBEX OPP) server, sending of files, apps and contacts using OBEX/OPP, viewing of thumbnails of audio, video, images on the remote device. You could zoom the stuff and view them organized in multiple rows. The tool gives you the ability to cut/paste/move/copy between devices, search files on both devices and create new folders and directories and such other file system manipulations. Data can be streamed from the remote device and the content played on your local device. This is a very handy tool when you have friends in the neighborhood who can lend you useful content.
